La prima icona nella pagina Creazione Progetto apre la definizione del Progetto per Protesi.

La finestra per la definizione del progetto si divide in 5 sezioni.

Definizione dei Denti

La prima finestra a sinistra "Denti" permette di selezionare gli elementi che saranno acquisiti, le loro opzioni e gli accessori per la scansione.

Facendo click su di un elemento, si apre il pannello per la definizione dei denti.

Le scelte possibili sono:

Nessuno: Non seleziona il dente come parte del progetto e chiude il pannello per la definizione dei denti, tornando al passo precedente.
Sano: Seleziona il dente come elemento sano. Se questo dente è parte di un modello, può essere acquisito con il resto del modello. Se usato su un'arcata antagonista completamente sana, imposta il progetto per scansionare un modello antagonista.
Moncone: Seleziona il dente come moncone preparato. Questo dente è un moncone rimovibile che può essere acquisito da solo o su un supporto multi-die.
Impianto: Segnala che nella posizione stabilita c'è un impianto, e sarà scansionato un marker.
Bite Antagonista: Seleziona che il dente selezionato è parte di un bite in silicone. Per impostare un modello come antagonista, utilizzare Sano.
Intermedio: Seleziona il dente come elemento intermedio di un ponte.

Se un elemento è selezionato come Moncone, Impianto o Intermedio, diventano disponibili ulteriori opzioni:

Ceratura: Indica che sul dente selezionato c'è un elemento di ceratura da scansionare.
Situ: Indica che per il dente selezionato c'è un situ o un modello preoperativo che deve essere scansionato.
Gengiva: Indica che l'elemento selezionato ha anche una gengiva che sarà scansionata separatamente.

Una volta definita la categoria del dente, e selezionate le relative opzioni, confermare con Ok o annullare le modifiche con Cancellare.

Tenendo premuto mentre si fa click su di un dente, l'ultima tipologia di elemento definito sarà copiata al dente selezionato.

Tenendo premuto mentre si fa click su di un dente, gli ultimi parametri impostati saranno copiati a tutti i denti tra l'ultimo e quello selezionato.

Progetto

La sezione Progetto permette all'utente di specificare alcune Informazioni Generali:

Nome del Paziente
Nome del Dottore (Opzionale)
Note (Opzionale)
Una casella di spunta per decidere se usare o meno l'Anello di Riferimento.

È possibile scrivere liberamente nei campi Dottore e Note. In quello Paziente, è possibile:

scrivere liberamente nel campo
creare un nuovo profilo cliccando sul bottone Cerca/Crea
cercare nel database per un profilo già esistente cliccando sul bottone Cerca/Crea

Il Bottone Cerca/Crea apre la seguente finestra:

Questa finestra permette di cercare nel database del progetto dei pazienti già esistenti. Può essere applicato un filtro e, per chi usa protocolli VDDS, la ricerca può essere ristretta a quel database specifico.

Facendo click sul bottone Crea si apre la seguente finestra:

Il pannello di creazione del paziente permette di inserire delle informazioni generali in merito al paziente ed al trattamento, come:

The patient's name
The patient's birth date
The patient's Sex
The doctor's name
The patient's insurance ID, where applies
Some notes

Once all the information has been filled in, select Ok to accept the data or Cancel to discard the changes and go back to the project definition page.

Model Types

This section allows to choose the kind of model that will be scanned.

By clicking on the model image, a model selection panel opens.

The available choices are:

Unsectioned Model: enable this option if the model to be scanned is not sectioned, the scanner will not require a separate scan for every die
Sectioned Model: default workflow, in which every element is acquired separately and all the information gets merged at the end
Quadrant Model: if the Concept Quad Scan Module is enabled, it is possible to scan all the parts of a Quadrant Tray in just one step
Impression Scan: if the Impression Scan Module is enabled in the license, check this option to scan an impression and not a stone model

Cad Integration

When the project is started directly from Exocad, the STL files produced in the scanning process will be transmitted to Exocad in just one click. On the other end, if the project gets created in the scanning software, the automatic export to CAD will not be configured, unless it is selected in this section.

By by clicking on the No Cad box the CAD selection window opens.

and it allows to choose one of the software integrated with our scanning system for automatic trasmission of the STL information.

Exocad
VDDS protocol (for orthodontics)
Onyx Ceph (for orthodontics)

If No Cad is selected, the software will then ask the user to define an export path for the STL files.

Articulators

The last section allows to select an articolator to use the Dynamic Articulation Module.

If the Dynamic Articulation module is not active on the license this section will not be available

Remember that it is always possible to scan any kind of articulator, this section is only to be used if you want to scan with the dynamic articulation module and pass the occlusion position in the Virtual Articulator of Exocad.

The Articulators available in Exocad and therefore in our software are:

Artex: to scan the Artex Articulator and to use the same in Exocad's Virtual Articulator
Sam/ Adesso: to scan the Sam Articulator or the Adesso splitcast and to use the same in Exocad's Virtual Articulator
Protar- Kavo: to scan the Kavo Articulator and to use the same in Exocad's Virtual Articulator
A7 - Bioart: to scan the Bioart Articulator and to use the same in Exocad's Virtual Articulator
Denar by Whipmix: to scan the Denar Articulator and to use the same in Exocad's Virtual Articulator

To start the project accept the definition with the button.
